Kansas City, MO asked in Civil Rights, Constitutional Law and Criminal Law for Arkansas

Q: Was my 4th Amendment right violated by ID demand & can I be charged with drug delivery without prior arrests in Arkansas?

On February 21, 2025, in Crawford County, Arkansas, a police officer approached me while I was sitting in my car, demanded my ID without providing a reason, and arrested me aggressively, claiming there was a felony warrant. I was not shown the warrant at the time of arrest, nor could the officer provide details about it. At the station, despite asking three times, I was not given a copy of this warrant. I was simply getting a ride to retrieve a vehicle, not picking it up myself. I've never had any drug charges prior to this incident and only had a prior interaction with the police two years ago over theft charges, which resulted in unauthorized use of a vehicle. It seems the prosecutor may hold a bias against me due to not cooperating in a previous case. Was my Fourth Amendment right violated by this unwarranted demand for identification, and is it possible to be charged with delivery of meth or cocaine without any prior related arrests or possession?
