Filed report April 1, 2020 but case does not exist. Have been calling the department & leaving messages w/ anyone who who allow me to. Officer has yet to return a simple phone call. I am still out daily looking for runaway son...with no help.

How old is your son? There is no requirement for the police to open a case if their investigation shows no crime or other action they can take.

That would likely be the case unless there is an estate plan.
At one point this person was going to be living with me, so he is running a background check. He does have a history from 2004 when he was "young and dumb"....can my landlord tell me he can no longer visit?
answered on May 19, 2020
Visit, no...unless there is some sort of court order. The landlord can certainly restrict you from having roommates. A good lease will detail what constitutes a visitor and a roommate (e.g. visitors cannot stay more than 3 consecutive overnights within a two week period). As you have previously... View More
I was in the car with my 16 yo girlfriend and we were out past curfew, I don’t have a license so she was driving and the cop had her call her mom so he could talk to her. I was curious because I know there’s different rules for 17 year olds, so can a police officer make me call my parents?
answered on May 11, 2020
You're right: there are different rules for 17 year olds. You can be charged as an adult. Seeing that your girlfriend is close in age, and I assume the cop didn't notice anything else out of the ordinarily except for a curfew violation, I think it was appropriate for the police to call... View More
I live in Michigan, and Governor Whitmer just signed an executive order banning travel between residences. I am my girlfriends ride between her workplace and home. I do not think you'll be stopped doing this, assuming that you two live in the same general area (i.e. you're not driving between, say, Lansing and Detroit for these rides).

If the actual title was signed, then I don't believe it matters legally whether the owner subsequently passed away. Obviously, it needs to be processed by the Secretary of State for issuance of a new title.
Parents would be there to pick up their children, using it solely as a bus stop.
answered on Aug 22, 2019
You'd need to contact the school district's transportation office. But I would think from the child care facility's perspective, if the bus stop is on their property, they are incurring significant liability, and absolutely can limit access to that bus stop to enrolled children.... View More

It isn't clear if you're being sued, or you anticipate being sued. If you're being sued, attorneys should be able to advise you of an hourly figure for defending the matter when you show them the summons and complaint. Don't delay there because if you were served with papers,... View More

You should have or will be appointed an attorney to help you through this. Long story short, you will not avoid Central Registry under the set of facts you presented.

Possibly not. Most insurance policies cover the hotel's building and facilities, and medical expenses for guests as the result of the incident. Have you tried filing a claim with your insurance carrier?
My wife caught our 13 year old kissing and "dry humping" our friend's 10 year old daughter. They were fully clothed and they stated there was no touching. I took my son to the police anyway, to have the seriousness of his actions sink in. The girl's parent's don't want... View More

You had an attorney, right? You should speak with the attorney who represented you about this.

You have not provided enough facts here to even form an opinion on whether you would be in trouble.

You need to give some basic facts, more than what you have written. Is there a warrant out for your arrest? Are you charged with a crime? If so, you need to go see a local private criminal defense attorney for a full discussion.

Who has told you that the will has to be read to your siblings? That, I think is a fantasy created in hollywood. It can be arranged, I suppose, so that your life is more like a hollywood movie, if you want. Usually, the children can get their hands on a copy of the will and read it themselves.... View More
My attorney told me I had the best judge for my case, now he says I have different judge but wont explain why so I found this docket and see two judges and he says the referring judge is now my judge but why would this happen and whats the role of each?

Ask your attorney who already knows the local practices of the judges.

A lot of knowledge concerning international law, most likely. That requires an immense amount of studying.
