It depends if it's new or used, state lemon laws, etc. Ask a local consumer protection or lemon law lawyer.

Q: Can I sue the makers of V-Lite because their product caught fire in my home breaking a window, that will cost me?

The Window in my bedroom broke and the frame was burnt, being that it was caused from a lighter I bought I may have to pay the apartment complex for the damages. being that I was not using the lighter when it caught fire can I sue them for Damages?
