Q: I filed a petition for divorce and summons. Respondent was served by the sheriff. An answer was filed by the Responden.

The Respondent did not send me a copy of the answer. Will I be able to file a motion for default judgment after 30 days? Or is there another motion I should consoder?

Q: I got a speeding ticket. I was going 58 in a 35mph zone. What will my options be?

There has been no court date set. I got the ticket today(10/08/2023). This happened in Lincolnwood, IL. The court is in the 2nd Municipal District of the circuit court of cook county, Illinois. I have a pretty clean record. Zero speeding tickets
