A: If you haven't done this already, you should report what happened in writing to both your supervisor and your employer's HR department and state that you feel you cannot return to work out of concern for your safety,

A: Safety first, in addition to reporting the incident in writing to your supervisor and HR, you should file a police report on the attack.

You may also want to consider getting an anti-harassment restraining order against your attacker.

Finally, if you employer fails to take reasonable precautions to protect you after notice of the situation, you might have a claim for constructive termination, if you do not feel safe going back to work.
