Louisville, KY asked in Car Accidents for Ohio

Q: Got a car and have progressive and paying almost 600$ a month. They didn’t tell me my car was in an accident and-

Apart of the reason they said it was so high is because it was in an accident but I wasn’t the owner of the car when said accident happened. Can they still charge me for it on insurance?

A: An Ohio attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. If the car was in an accident with a different driver, that should not adversely affect the elements that go into computing your liability coverage premium. If you're talking about a situation where the accident is impacting coverage for comprehensive/property damage/etc. that's something else. You could ask your insurance broker or Progressive to help you break down how the premium figures are determined by their underwriting division. Good luck
