Philadelphia, PA asked in Civil Litigation, Criminal Law and Civil Rights for New York

Q: Is a detective supposed to question family and friends when they think there is foul play?

The detective only questions the two people that lived with my sister. One use to be a heroin addict. she has been clean for 15 years as she says and the other has mental issues who has a case worker. My sister thought she was another Mother Theresa. They did kill my sister, they did elderly abuse on her. My sister had told them that they had to leave on Jan 1, 2023 instead my sister died on that day. Her friends knew they had to leave on Jan 1 , 2023. I was kind of shock when her friends told me that, I never meet them before. I saw the 150 photos the detective had taken I could not believe what I was seeing. I told the detective, you believe what they had to say? The answer that I had gotten from the detective is that they are going to have a hard time living on the streets.
