Adoption alone does not necessarily eliminate inheritance rights. That said, if his parental rights were properly terminated when he gave the daughter up for adoption, then the daughter may have no inheritance rights.

You'll likely need to contact a Florida probate attorney assuming the property is in Florida.

I agree with the previous answer - more info is needed.

Bear in mind that the existence of a Will does not avoid probate.

I doubt you'll get fee quotes here but if the estate was opened and later closed, you may want to contact the attorney who originally handled the case. If not, contact another attorney and ask how they would structure their fees for this process.

Are you the only surviving heir? Did he have a Will?

Did you happen to pay for the funeral/cremation?

There are a few options but most require probate court. What's the value of the account?
