Q: Can I file my own divorce papers, my wife filed 1yr ago, we have no children, no property in dispute, to get the divorce

A: Yes, in this situation the complexity of this case does not sound like it would justify the cost of hiring counsel. If you have reached an agreement on all issues of the case you will probably want to proceed as uncontested case. To do so you would file a stipulated judgment for divorce. You didn't say anything about spousal support. You can both agree to waive spousal support, but the issue needs to be dealt with in the stipulated judgment.

I would suggest you contact your county Family Law Facilitator's Office. You can get free assistance with filling out the necessary forms there. Check your local court website or with the local Court Clerk for information on scheduling an appointment.
