Q: My tenant told me in Jan. 2012 that they would file bankruptcy

However, the tenant's attorney will not communicate with me.

As a landlord, what can I do?

A: As long as they stay current with their rent payments and the terms of the lease, if any, then there should be little to do. If they fail to maintain the payments and the terms of the lease, you should consult with an attorney to review the entire situation and fully evaluate your rights.
