Q: My young daughter inherited 100k from my parents estate. Can she be added as joint owner w me on their house to satify w
I inherited all of my parents estate with exception of $100k that is supposEd to be in a trust. There isn't any cash in estate just very nice home in which we live in and 2 cars. If I add my daughter to be joint owner on the deed will that satisfy the will or will probate judge make me sell the house or take out $100k mortgage?
A: Look to the Trust language as it should specify how (from what assets) the Trust should be funded. What you propose seems unlikely to satisfy the conditions of a Trust as the property would not be in the Trust if your daughter was simply added to the Deed.
