Q: Can landlord of a shared house, legally insist on staying?
I live in a shared house (the house has 3 bedrooms which are up for rent), I rent the master bedroom. The landlord insists on coming in and staying in the currently unrented room. She has even written a claus into the lease agreement she would like us to sign. My question is: Is this legal?
A: Read the lease, the original one. I do not think it is illegal even if does not mention this in the original lease, but you are asking me to give legal advice without being able to read any of the relevant documents.
A: We would have to read the lease. I personally wouldn't sign any addendum, but that decision is up to you.
