Asked in Car Accidents for Florida

Q: I got in a car accident three years ago which resulted in the other person getting a ticket, now shes filed a lawsuit.

Shes suing me because she said she couldnt work, has mental anguish, cant enjoy life and all these other things that this small fender bender has caused her. A quick google search shows she is presently self employed with her business that she had before and after the accident. I feel all her claims are far fetched and this is her way for a quick buck. What are some options and what are some scenarios that can happen resulting from this law suit.

A: You need to report this suit immediately to your insurance company. This is why you have insurance.

A: What cold happen? A judgment against you.

If you were served with a complaint/summons you have a small window in which you must reply. Inform the insurance company you had at the time of the accident immediately. They are required to defend you/
