Q: Is there a limit (time or otherwise) to contest a divorce decree? Any exceptions?
My friend's ex husband pushed her divorce thru the Georgia courts uncontested. She was living out of state at the time and was not served a notice of the hearing and did not appear in court. He was awarded 100% of all assets. For many reasons, she did not appeal the divorce decree but is now considering it, primarily for asset distribution, about 1 year later. Is it too late?
