Q: Is it illegal to call and ask about anothers banking account information
A: A little more context is needed. It is foolish and you will just get rejected if you simply call up the bank and ask for someone else's information. If you use personal identifying information of another individual such as the last four digits of his or her social, name, and address, to attempt to obtain his or banking information, that would be illegal.
