Q: I'm a 20 year old US citizen. My parents were undocumented immigrants and have lived outside the US for the past 7 years
My parents entered the country through the border illegally. They chose to move back to their country 7 years ago, they were not deported. My mother did have a deportation request during their 17 years living in the US though and she left years later on her own. Will I have any problems or is this a special case? Any suggestions?
A: Were your parents in the USA illegally for more than 1 year? Did your mother finish her deportation case? Did she receive voluntary departure? These are the issues you want to probably discuss with a lawyer. Many of us offer free consultations.
