Q: Dad hit mom on right side of neck which she currently injured from work made pain worse and cops just gave him a ticket?
He got caught cheating so mom confronted him and he got offensive and aggressive and hit my mom on neck so my mom slapped him and told him don't hit me anymore as he tried to hit her again but I (son) got in and he brushed me with his finger tips and I hit him on the eye brow and cheek bone ( cut open with only one hit) that was self defense for myself and I was protecting my mother
So I don't know why he only got a citation for a domestic violence charge?
My grandfather worked for same company as step dad only for a week or 2 and after that he left got different job but couple weeks later , under the table he worked my grandfathers social security because he is getting disability due to cancer and he would have my mom go change check and give him money so he can send to Mexico. He would threaten her if she didn't do he would take 3 daughters away and take to mexico and he would also abuse her
Need help don't know what to do what's best thing to do?
A: You can contact the police to report the crime. Your mom can file for a restraining order and for divorce and child custody rights. Your mom can sue the abuser for civil damages for the civil assault and battery as well. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney.
