Q: What steps do I take to keep a domestic
I am 5 months pregnant and have not been married to the man. He was not supportive of the pregnancy, tried to harass me into getting an abortion, and is domestically abusive. I continued to allow him to be in the picture to try and do so for the sake of my child. Things proceed to get horrible with his abuse, his effort to control every aspect of my life and so forth. I found the gender on Monday. I gave him the option to go which he never replied too. Like many other appointments. He then called me and told me that we need to choose a name together. Which I already had. When I told him the name he became enraged screaming and going psychotic. I hung up said don't speak to me like that. then blocked him. He showed up to my house I asked him to leave he barged his way through the door and continued to scream at the top of his lungs and wouldn't remove himself. I called the cops and he finally left. I'm scared for not only my life but for my child's.
A: Get a domestic violence restraining order. Go to the new family court house at 201 North 1st Street in San Jose and find the DVRO self-help desk and begin the process.
