Q: The Company my wife works for gave out her personal info and bank info to a scam person, what can she do about it?

A: Take all reasonable steps to protect your identity and accounts. If they were defrauded it may or may not be carelessness on their account. You'll have to speak with a member of the Wyo. trial lawyers Assn who handles employment law, juggle the possibility you can get something vs staying on the job.

For starters be aware that if a bank or credit card pays on a forged signature if you notify them as soon as you get the statement it may be covered. bigger problem is someone opening up accounts under your name elsewhere. Notify credit reporting agencies? You will want to get a hold of information FBI, others have on how to protect yoruself from identity theft.

Hopefully employer notified police, FBI, got pone # from caller ID --if they tape conversations "for our customers convenience/for training purposes " get a copy of the tape.
