Sacramento, CA asked in Government Contracts, Animal / Dog Law and Personal Injury for California

Q: My boyfriend was volenteering at a local vet and was bitten by a cat that should have been put down two days prior.

He went septic within 24 hours, spent 8 days in the hospital and underwent three surgeries due to infection. We found out after an attempted suit that the vet wasnt insured. He was contracted with the county animal control at the time. So what i need to know is was he in any kind of violation for not having liability coverage while contracted with the county?

A: You can go after the county if they represented the person to be a Veternarian.
