Asked in Libel & Slander and Personal Injury for New York

Q: Slander from a teacher with no proof?

Hello, I am being harassed by a college professor who would make short-off hand side marks about me in class (and one time threaten to beat me up after class while I was clarifying homework with her). She does this infrequently enough that I can't record her or catch her. I feel like I can not report her because i have no evidence on her but, it is ruining my self esteem and damaging my reputation. I think she knows some people from my fire department who I have some problems with, nothing major just some people are jealous that I am doing better than them in life. All my life I had issues with bullying and I don't know what I can do to make them stop. It has gotten to the point where I am stressed all the time. I need to take some form of legal action but, I don't know what to do.

I wanted to point out that, that I do not have a mental illness or anything like that. This has been a serious issue that I have been facing for years from various people.
