Frederick, MD asked in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice for Maryland

Q: Follow up question,on my Dentist not performing a simple filling correct & this caused me couple of thousands dollars.

As you know two simple filling caused me root canal in my tooth,I explained this to my Dentist and requested him if he will bare my expenses, which I expalined over phone and email.Upon talking to him he mentioned multiple things that the filling material could be bad,I asked I'm to see the X-rays and told him if he could confirm that the filling was done correctly, & he did not want to vouch on his own work, later he offered to give me refund on my filling & also will give me free crown for the tooth. However,I explained him I already paid for the Crown to my current Dentist, & also I told him that I have to get root canal for 2nd tooth as well. As I am still in pain after 3 months.I gave him time to think over this and call me back, but instead of calling me again he refund $150.00(I paid for filling 3 months back) in my account without my knowledge or consent. And emailed hi masking why he took this step but never heard from him. Could you please help me?

A: I don't think someone putting money back into your account really requires your advice and consent. It does not limit you options to bring a claim in any way.

There are not enough facts to understand your claim and your options.
