Q: How can i get custody of 14 yr old son in juvenile hall and been in trouble since he been in his grandmas care?

I lost custody of 4 boys in 2005. Dad and I were arguing and i said i'd kill him if he didnt return the kids. He actually called 911 got restraining order saying he was in fear and boys needed protection. I didnt show up for court hearing because he called night before saying our kids were gonna see me arrested. Judge grants 3 yr restraining order a full custody. After restraining expired I got attorney to fight for my kids. It was to late they had been so brainwashed. Since then I have struggled to maintain relationship with my kids the dad and his mom have manipulated them, guilt them for wanting to be around me, gave them all freedom to keep them away. Dad is now in prison and his mom claims to have power of attorney giving full custody to her. She cut off contact with me and my kids by putting so much pressure and stress threatening to take material things away if they dont go home. They are all addicted to meth and 14 yr old is been in juvenile hall, kicked out of school

A: You can file for custody in court. A power of attorney does not grant custody rights. More details are necessary to provide a professional analysis of your issue. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney.
