Can he legally change my name without my knowledge? Can the school do that without proof? Is there away to keep him from changing records at the school without my consent?
A: If you kept your married name at the time of divorce, then the only other method is an application to the court for a legal name change. But only you can do that; not your ex. If you haven't already, call the school to see if it's a clerical error. If you still suspect shenanigans, consult a family law attorney.
