Mount Dora, FL asked in Car Accidents for Florida

Q: 4 days ago i was on the signal waiting on red and suddenly a car from the next lane hit my car

The person who hit admitted his fault and that's how the case report is, I am trying to claim from his insurance , he has a basic policy for $ 10000 only. I know Florida is a no fault state since his coverage is very less if I claim from my insurance will it increase my monthly insurance premium?

A: You should look to your insurance first to repair your car. The question of will your insurance premiums be raised is not an answer I can give. That decision is totally up to your insurance carrier.

A: Depends on your state's law. As I mentioned in the other post, in many states your rates can only go up if you caused the wreck. Suggest you contact a member of the FlaJustice Assn as they give free consults and it it was that bad a wreck you got hurt and need to protect yourself with a free consult.
