Q: can towing company charge me for 2 days they were closed due to Irma hurr. even though we needed our car back 2 days ago

A: Technically yes, and technically no. The towing company should not be so rigid if you attempted to retrieve your vehicle and could not due to their office being closed during the storm. I suggest the best option is to pay what is needed asap to cut off the charges and pay under protest if needed.

A: I agree with Mr. Williamson. However if you were not at fault in a crash situation,other person's insurance should pay.

Assuming it's a tow due to no parking zone or other, you need to pay the ransome or it sits and while it sits it racks up more charges. This is called "mitigation of losses," and even if you didn't cause the problem, it's on you to do it says the law.So pay the people that amount, note on the check under protest, take the car out asap.
