Houston, TX asked in Family Law and Probate for Texas

Q: My mom died and left a will that states who gets what. On her bank accounts it says to the benificiary on account.

There isn't one listed but 1 siblings name is on accounts with my mom. Do the other 3 siblings have a right to there share of the money she left? I'm in Texas

A: If the signature card on the account reads "pay on death" or "joint with right of survivorship," the money to the person named. If the signature card shows that the person named was named as a convenience signer, the money goes to the estate and passes as stated in the Will.
