Q: Me and a guy had a ln agreement of payments towards damage done to car.

Me and my neighbor had a deal of payments but i wanted to take the money to the shop in which they will be repairing the vehicle to get a reciept as proof of payment he on the other hand wants the money in hand what do i do?

A: If the damage is your fault, you owe the money to repair, whether he completes the repairs or not, so he is entitled to money in hand. However, I would not give anyone money without a signed Release that says, in exchange for payment of $x, neighbor gives up and release you from any and all claims related to the collision.
