A: the police won't do anything b/c you are a minor.

you should be thankful you have a parent WHO CARES..........i see to many mother and fathers that do not care about the kids....................u r the lucky one...................

A: It appears that your mother is being overprotective which I don't blame her for judging upon what teenagers go through when they have too much of freedom. If you call 911, the first thing you will hear is ""911, What is the emergency."" What are you going to tell them, your mom is not giving you space? 911 IS FOR EMERGENCY use only.

You have only a month left to be the legal age of 18. and you need not be aggressive towards your parent. You can try to explain to your parent that you are a responsible young woman and know what is right and wrong and would like some space. Which is something you should do if she continues to be overprotective! A mother can never stop being a mother of a child. Most likely you will experience this behaviour even when you are an adult because of the relationship you and she have. If you can work out a good understanding with her, you both can be best friends and then she won't be on your shoulder 24/7 because then she would know what you know and can manage on your own.
