Q: Can I get a residence with my niece I have under foster care wanting to adopt her but can't for out legal status???
I have my niece her mom lost custody of her and my brother which is her dad got deported our social worker wants us to adopt her but we can't due to our legal status here so I was wondering if we can get a residence for that
A: First, you should be able to adopt her regardless of your status. However the adoption will not help you or her in the areas of your immigration concerns.
