Q: Does my husbands ex have to claim SS money she gets for her other kid as a type of income?
My husbands ex is taking us back to court for more money. She is telling us she should be getting atleast $100 more a month. She told him how much she makes and then she also gets money from her older sons dad's SS since he passed away. She told us that she does not have to claim that in the worksheet or tell the court she gets that money. Is that true?
A: Ishe has to claim it as part of her income but that amount does ot decrease your husband's responsibility.
