Broken Arrow, OK asked in Criminal Law and Wrongful Death for Oklahoma

Q: I was told I may have a lawsuit, I just need some legal advice please

March of 2017 I contacted a DHS case worker regarding my sister being addicted to prescription drugs while being pregnant and neglecting her two other chidren and nothing was done. Other people besides me have contacted DHS with the same concerns I had and again nothing was done. September 28th 2017 my niece was born by October 4th she was back in the hospital and the nurses contacted DHS over neglect a case worker came and left nothing was done. October 26th 2017 my niece had died, the case worker that came to the hospital wrote in her report she had contacted me and said that I had no concerns. I had never been contacted by this case worker, infact it was the same case worker I contacted back in March that I told my concerns to.

The day my niece passed DHS came to the house she died in and deemed it an unsafe environment. I feel like if something was done back in March when I called, my niece would still be here.

I just need to know if I have a lawsuit?
