Q: I sold my car but did not go to the dmv to transfer ownership. The car has been towed... what can I do?
I did an online transfer of ownership last January when Ihad to pay for a parking ticket for the person who bought my car. Over a year later, I now received a notice that the car has been towed. The ownership was never transferred and now I am in trouble. I currently live in Japan. Help!!!!

if you can not afford a lawyer, write a letter to the court.
normally they do not like that but explain you did on line transfer and hopefully you have some proof you can copy and enclose.
