Los Angeles, CA asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Domestic Violence for California

Q: What is the first step to take when my ex doesn’t let me see my son? Makes excuses every weekend.

We’ve been separated for a little over a month. And I gave her time to calm down, since our breakup was due to me being unfaithful, just around 2 weeks. We have texted and agreed to a schedule where he would spend time with me. This is the second week that she makes an excuse and does not let me see him. I have proof of her being aggressive towards me. Pictures of bite marks. Witnesses of her pushing me down a flight of stairs. And of her selling narcotics. My goal is not to sock it to her. My goal is to be able to see my son, the things I’ve stated are just what feel like I have in my favor.

A: a lawyer can not give you advice without knowing a lot more facts.

if you are looking to "sock it to her" then involve the police.

if you had a lawyer ask you divorce lawyer who can contact her lawyer. If non you can go back to court or tell you really do not want to go back to court. All this negativity is not good for our son.

let's try to be grown ups and handle things civilly is how i would phrase it.
