Q: How to defend charge in court after minors get into a mutually agreed fist fight? Aggressor lost fight & pressed charges

My nephew, over the course of time has been hit in the private and taunted by a fellow student. During the end of school in Dec, he was pushed down the stairs by said student. They both decided to have a fist fight, that they would walk from school to said students house for the fight. They made it in front of his street. Initially, as he was taking off his hoodie (with his head still inside), the Said student made the first swing. My nephew then threw the hoody at Student, and began fighting. Shortly After starting, it was over when another person with him (which was also my son) stepped between the two, when he herd one declaire he was done fighting. Both agreed, and all left. Within 30 mins, The Sheriff called for us to meet at the station. Said minor had called 911 for a bleeding split eyebrow. When EMTs arrived he demanded to press charges, Saying he was jumped by two people. Since then we have received random messages threatening my nephew and my son. Court is Feb 21.

A: You defend by retaining a criminal law attorney. Use the Find a Lawyer tab. Bullying should be something discussed with the school principal.
