Q: I don't what my question catagorizes in, but i suspect foul play in my fathers death
(pg. 1) My father passed away 3 months ago, i suspect foul play in his death. He did use heroin and everyone assumed it was an heroin overdose, when toxoligy report came in there were no sign of opiates (heroin) in his system there were 7 prescription drugs a one street drug (methanphetamine). When my father was found deceased he was cold, parametics say he's been deceased around 1-2 hours. He wasnt by himself his wife of 25 year marriage was in the room when he passed, they say she was loaded herself. When my dads best friend walked in the room and seen my father he immediatly started cpr but it was way too late. My fathers wife is diagnosed with schitzophrenia, she treated my dad horrible she's attempted trying to burn my father in the past, he feared his life around her i even have a note from him stating that he's afraid to go to sleep cause she has a butcher knife with her all the time. (continue pg. 2 on next question, ran out of room)
A: Take your concerns to the police. They are the only ones with authority to investigate and prosecute a crime. However, what you describe still sounds like an overdose - 7 prescription drugs and 1 street drug? That's a lot of drugs. Proving foul play sounds difficult. It is curious how he got prescriptions for 7 different drugs. You might try to get his medical records from those providers. Law enforcement might be interested in that issue, and there might be a claim against the doctors. Kind of a long shot, though.
A: you can share your concerns with the local police to see if detectives will investigate and then recommend prosecution to the DA.......however it sounds like a lot of drugs in his system.
