Q: What is the difference between grand larceny and attempted grand larceny
A: There is no "grand" larceny in Connecticut. In general, however, the penalties for Larceny (of any kind) and ATTEMPTED Larceny (of any kind) are the same. There are differences in what the state would have to prove in order for you to be found guilty of Larceny vs. Attempted Larceny, but the penalties, if guilty, are the same.
