Q: Can I do something about all this things that are going on with this doctor? not all details were included.
My employer is a specialist that performs oral surgeries. Her assistants are phlebotomist and not surgical assistants nor dental assistants, but they are next to her doing surgery with very minimal to no training. She has them taking x-rays without a license. She also leaves out of town and the hygienist still sees patients without her being there. And one time when the doctor was out of town after a patient had left (who has aids) cleaning the room I accidentally scratched myself with a tool that had been in contact with the patient I called her to see what the protocol was she told me to finish my work day and that i would have to get tested on my own time. She also has no logs for when she cleans her water lines, she took off $25 from our paychecks for an ear piece that she require us to have but belongs to her. There are additional things going on like unnecessary over charges to patients as well as procedures. She gives monetary compensation for good social media reviews
A: These are potential violations of the law which need to be addressed by the appropriate agencies like the state medical board, health department, OSHA, or district attorney's office. These violations do not fall under workers' comp which deals primarily with injured workers.
