Q: Hello sorry to contact you so early but I need advice due to harrasment on my job from supervisor.

I have been employed with United Healthcare since 2009 a new supervisor was transferred to our company from Florida. I received a letter stating I will be terminated as of 4/2/18 even though I did not voluntarily quit. My insurance was all so cancelled I am still under psychiatric care due to I had sucidal tendencies from the harrasment which took effect as of 11/01/15. I reisde in Texas and working with Texas Workers Comp. I have been on disability since 2017 but I still under psychiatric care and have not been released. I received letter stating I will be terminated as of 4/2/18 and wanted to know if that is against the law in Texas. I was removed from the supervisor and per my psychiatrist not to take his calls

I received one call from him back on 02/21/18 regarding my hearing. I now suffer from PTSD and severe depression. I did not voluntarily agree to the terms at in I am still under psychiatric care. Plus my insurance was cancelled is this legal is Texas.

A: Mental trauma injury is not covered by workers' compensation unless it involved a one time event resulting in the trauma. If you have issues with your supervisor who is discriminating against you because you have an injury, you will need to consult with a labor and employment law attorney. Good Luck.
