Q: Employer of (35 yrs +) began making me send emails to office mngr when I arrive & leave work. Yet no1 else has too!!
No one else is required to email the office manager to check in or out. There are 4 other employees that are NOT required to do this. I’m a property manager & must leave office during the day to show properties as potential renters ask.
The new off. mngr is owners wife retired from WPAFB in Jan 17’ & began working at office. She brought all types of gov’t excel sheets & forms from WPAFB & uses them regularly for her HR purposes. We are a small office less than 4-8 in Prop. mngnt & less than 20 employees total (Inc. Realtors) we’ve never used HR forms until now. I have everyday proof since Jan 17’ that I have emailed her electronic check ins & check outs. We do not have a time clock & never have had one in almost 40 years. In Dec 17’ she claimed a discrepancy in my time & I printed every emailed check in/out & proved her wrong! I can’t afford to live w/out my job & I’m finally able to claim my soc. sec. since they never offered any 401K plans. Im afraid I’ll loose my job.
