Q: obtained cable tv in florida using another’s identity. over year ago. returned equipment but left a bill. person, who

lives in mississippi found out via credit report. can they have cable person arrested in florida and they live in mississippi?

A: Sounds like criminal charges for identity theft can be filed state and federally.

If done, then extradition is a possibility

A: Obtaining cable service by using another's personal information, without permission, is fraud. Leaving a bill unpaid was not smart. Paying the unpaid bill now will not "undo" the crime but it couldn't hurt. Pay it by money order or other untraceable means and hope for the best. If a warrant is issued, the choice to extradite if the warrant is served will be up to the jurisdiction where issued.
