Waterford, NY asked in Employment Law for New York

Q: Can I do something to get my job to pay me my last check or do i take a loss?

I was fired from my job due to accidental sales. I was never informed by the mangers, nor did it state in the promo training online course that our new customer promo had ended. Therefore i was still offering that promo along side the new one, since thats what has been happening with the previous promotions. So the store took a loss and thryre refusing to pay me. I tried to explain how i was never informed that the "new customer promo" had ended but everything i said was disregarded. At times I had to travel out of my way and lost work hours when I didnt have the travel fare to make it and they refused to switch me with someone who was closer to that store. I would give early notice about appointments and they schedule me for that exact day or time and id lose hours. Now they wont pay me for my last 20hrs.
