University Place, WA asked in Car Accidents for Washington

Q: Accepting a car insurance offer, and the time I have to accept it.

I had a car accident, filed my claim, and they told me my vehicle was totaled. I didnt accept or reject their offer, and the claim was left open. I repaired my vehicle myself and went about my life. One year later I got into another accident and filed a new claim, which I have not rejected or accepted. The second offer also said my vehicle was totaled. Is it possible to still accept the first offer to turn In my truck on the insurance and claim the higher amount for my vehicle?

A: It looks like you weren't at fault, and you may have injury claims which would get you additional funds, so assuming you haven't signed off why not contact a member of the State of Washington Trial Lawyers Assn--they give free consults.
