you need to talk to a criminal atty in Carlsbad who knows what the judges do down there.

i am in palm springs and here you would NOT go to jail...i suspect the same is true there.

the amount of the items is a factor in deciding how the case is handled.

It's not the crime of the century but it has to be handled carefully because to you it is a very big deal in your life. I've handled such cases.
