A: There aren’t a lot of details to go by here, but it’s worth keeping in mind that if you pay for a legal consultation, an attorney will have questions that go beyond “unfairness.” Did the business commit a breach of contract? Did it do something unlawful? Did it discriminate against you? Did it infringe upon your rights in other ways? What were the damages you incurred? These are just some general issues, and may not necessarily apply to your situation. But these are just some types of questions an attorney could have in trying to determine whether a valid legal claim exists.
