Austin, TX asked in Insurance Bad Faith for Texas

Q: Allstate sold me a product they does not carry.

Then, the underwriter declined, because Allstate does not have a million as liability in the landlord policy. The underwrite told the agent, but agent ignored it and did not inform me at all while I was overseas, the agent knew I was overseas. So when I found out on 9/5, that I do not have a landlord policy, they sold me another policy that is $400 more than my original policy and it also charged me two months premium when the police was declined. (I didnot know none of these until Sept. 5. The police issued last December, 2017.

I paid additional $600 when the agent submitted the incorrect information. When I asked them to correct, they said they can. How do I file this "error administration" what kind of lawyer can I hire to get this done correctly?

A: I do not practice in Texas but your question remains open for three weeks. An experienced attorney familiar with insurance law (including underwriting issues) should be able to provide guidance.
