Q: Am a 17 yr old female. got kicked out of my house yet my mom filed a missing person report. Is it possible to move out
she is abusive . she dragged me by the hair down the stairs and threw me out . she controls my every move. all i do is work and go to school i barely go out and i am never disrespectful. Can I still go to school while living at a friends house?
A: You can report the abuse to Child Protective Services and they will attempt to find you a guardian. That is your only option unless you have the funds to hire an attorney to file to have you emancipated. To be emancipated you have to be able to show that you are financially independent from any adult.
