Winchester, KY asked in Consumer Law, Business Law and Civil Rights for Kentucky

Q: about harassment in 2016 that im still effected by today.

Back in 2016 my mother had got tires/rims from a shop in KY and she was 1 month behind on her payment and they back then had called me over 100 times on my phone, no lie. They would call and re dial to the point i could not call out and they did this for hours. Now when the phone rings i get sick and think of that time and now when a family friend calls i get sick and think about that company still. I also have autism so its not helping me. I did not know back then what they did was illegal till a few days ago i seen an ad that it was and subject to a $500 or so fine per harassment call here in KY. I also know its been more then one year and also the cable company i had the phone with may not hold phone call records that long, least for me.

A: You would need the records of the calls or some sort of proof that the calls were actually made. The statute of limitations may have also run.
