Novato, CA asked in Sexual Harassment for Arizona

Q: My father has been served an injunction of harassment from his neighbor that is completely made up. What type of law is?

Plaintiff and defendant are neighbors not in a relationship. the plaintiff is bullying my father who is 70 years old and under medical care. I'm afraid for his health.

A: Arizona must have a statute (most states do) that allows anyone who feels threatened, harassed or otherwise treated badly by others--regardless of relationship--to go to court and seek a civil injunction against the person. Your father is advised to respond to the papers ASAP, and to advance his own story before the judge. This will probably result in a joint injunction warning BOTH angry neighbors to stop acting like children on the school playground.
