A: What do you mean by a copy of the sale of your home?

The deed was recorded on the public records in the county where the house is located. From the amount of the documentary stamps you can tell the selling price. Also the property appraisers website may have the sale price from 2006.

If you are looking for something like a copy of the closing statement you can try to track down the title company or attorney that did the closing to find out if they still have a copy of their file. Since we are only supposed to keep files and documents for 7 years, even if you found the closing company, they may not still have a copy of the closing statement.
